Leche flan is a staple desert in every Pinoy’s home. Who doesn’t love the rich and creamy texture of this delectable desert? Our favorite occasions like Noche Buena, birthdays, and even a simple gathering will not be complete without leche flan. Leche flan can also be enjoyed even for a simple meryenda. That being said, it is no wonder why many people find inventive ways to recreate this iconic desert.
This former overseas Filipino worker found a lucrative way to reinvent leche flan. Princess San Diego made a lot of income after adding flavors to our favorite Pinoy desert.
Princess made a lot of money after inventing new ways to enjoy leche flan. Have you ever tried a flan with flavors of Japanese green tea matcha, coffee milk, and tiramisu.
But putting up her own business wasn’t Princess’ first calling. She graduated Information Technology and later went on to find a job in Dubai. However, when time came for Princess to go back home, she decided to venture into a new industry: business! But just like so many success stories, Princess did not get it right at first try.
As a matter of fact, Princess had to try not just three, five, or even ten business ventures, but fourteen! Despite this, she never gave up hope.
One time, Princess decided to make leche flan for her family. For a twist, Princess put matcha flavoring on her leche flan. Soon enough, she received a lot of inquiries for her amazing recipe!
“I first started posting on my personal Facebook account about it just to brag about what I’ve made. But when I started receiving inquiries about it from my friends, I decided, well, this is going to be a business,” she shared.
This prompted Princess to create more leche flan with unique flavors with just a P1,000 capital! As more and more people began hearing about Princess’ unique leche flan, her business started growing. Soon enough, “What’s Your Flan” is already an established home-based business. Many resellers also contributed to her growing business.
Her generous income also allowed Princess to branch out. By 2017, Princess was able to earn her first million thanks to her booming business. She also plans on opening her own cafe to reach out to more customers.
