Kapamilya actress and host Toni Gonzaga will be celebrating her 37th birthday on January 20. Toni is known as a celebrated actress and host who has been in the showbiz industry for more than two decades. Aside from being an awarded host and actress, Toni Gonzaga is also known for her kindness and generosity. Just recently, one of ABS-CBN’s directors revealed Toni’s act of generosity.
As you may well know, it’s been almost a year since ABS-CBN has went off air following a cease-and-desist letter from the National Telecommunications Commission.
Along with the Kapamilya network shutdown, thousands of employees also lost their livelihood amid the pandemic. In order to help them out, Toni reached out and donated a sizable portion of her talent fee to the displaced employees.

This was revealed by Olivia Lamasan, the managing director of ABS-CBN Film Productions Inc. In an interview on Gonzaga’s talk show, “I Feel U,” Lamasan revealed that Toni’s generous act has saved hundreds of employees from starving.
However, this kind deed was not picked up by any media as Toni decided to keep it under the wraps.
“Ito pong si Toni gave a generous portion of her talent fee, if not all, para po sa mga empleyado ng ABS-CBN na nawalan po ng trabaho nung inorder po ng Congress na i-shutdown kami. I will never forget that kasi napaiyak mo ako noon sa sobrang kalakihan ng puso mo at kabutihan mo,” says Lamasan.
Lamasan also praised Toni for her kind heart and support towards her home network amid ABS-CBN shutdown. Despite having tempting offers from other rival networks, Toni decided to stay with ABS-CBN.
In addition to that, the ABS-CBN Films managing director also wished Toni well in her future endeavors in life, saying that her blessings will surely return a thousand-fold.
“I pray that God returns your generosity a thousand-fold, and that blessings may continue to abound you in all aspects of your life.”
