Amid the heavy rains in La Union, four minors allegedly lost their life after being struck with lightning. According to the source, there were six people who were struck with lightning. The horrifying incident allegedly occurred in San Fernando, La Union. Out of the six victims, four people were dead. Some were even rushed to the hospital, but they later succumbed to their injuries.
In addition to that, the anonymous source also revealed some details right after the incident. Before the emergency responders even arrived at the scene, they helped carry the victims to safety: “Kami mismo nagvideo at tumulong magbuhat,” says the man while talking to another netizen.

Horrifying videos and photos of the incident made rounds on social media. In one short clip, a woman, presumed to be the mother of one of the boys, can be seen bawling while hugging the boy. The teen was no longer responding and was presumed to be dead on the scene.
Another netizen named Wilma Yadao Ursa shared unverified details on Facebook. The bad weather allegedly did not stop the teens from having a good time. According to Ursa, the minors were allegedly swimming in the sea while it was pouring cats and dogs outside.
“While I’m having my Civil Law review online, I was shocked with a very strong and loud lightning. OMG may nakidlatan dito sa may dagat at maya’t maya may narinig na ko na mga ambulansya. Save the 1 guy who is critical and the 3 are dead. Be safe everyone. Wag ng maligo sa dagat pag umuulan.”
However, please be reminded to take this information with a grain of salt. As of now, there’s still no news reports or statements from the local government. On the other hand, many netizens expressed their condolences and prayers to the families of the victim.
