Christine Angelica Dacera’s death is still shrouded in mystery. Even though her official cause of death was listed as rupture aortic aneurysm, her family is claiming that the 23-year-old flight attendant was sexually assaulted. Dacera was found lifeless in a bathtub in a hotel in Makati City. Before her death, Dacera has celebrated New Year’s Eve with her friends in the hotel.
The Dacera family is insisting that her friends were responsible for Christine’s untimely demise. Her mother, Sharon Dacera, has refused to hear the suspects’ plea for innocence. In Sharon’s eyes, there was definitely foul play involved in her daughter’s death.
“Edi wow, wow, wow! Ganoon na lang sabihin ko sa kanila. I need more prayers, but yung kamay na bakal para sa mga taong gumawa ng ganitong karumaldumal sa anak ko po, Tatay Digong, parusahan niyo na po,” says Sharon as a response to the suspects.
On the other hand, many netizens also shared their sentiments about this. Some people on social media are claiming that Sharon is being blinded by her grief, which is why she’s insisting that her daughter’s death was no accident. One netizen in particular became viral for his take on this matter.
“You are blindly accusing them of rape, of murder, of many horrible things. You refuse to believe your daughter died because her own body failed her. What you are seeking is not justice. What you really need is to embrace your grief and accept that Christine is dead and sending innocent sons to jail will not bring her back,” Rogie Mark Arcenas said.
As of writing, Arcenas’ statement already reached more than 5.6k shares on social media. Meanwhile, the suspects in Dacera’s case started a fundraising on social media in order to help pay for their legal fees.
