The mysterious death of flight attendant Christine Angelica Dacera is still shrouded with a lot of questions. The 23-year-old was found lifeless inside a hotel room in Makati city on January 1. And though autopsy revealed that she died from ruptured aortic aneurysm, many questions still lingers on the last night she was alive. Was she sexually assaulted by her peers? Was she drugged?
A short CCTV clip shed light on Dacera’s last moments before being found dead. A few hours before the incident, the Philippines Airline flight attendant was seen walking on the hotel hallway while holding her high heels and wine glass at December 31, 11:38 p.m. Also seen on the footage were two unidentified men waiting outside Room 2209.

In another footage, at around 3:22 a.m. of January 1, Dacera was seen talking with three men outside of the room. A few steps away, another man was watching them talking. According to NCRPO Chief Police Brigadier General Vicente Danao Jr., they are currently examining the footage to determine all the details.
“Hindi po natin masasabi. It could be possible na meron siyang na-take or it could be possible na merong pinainom sa kanya unwillingly or hindi niya alam. Hindi pa natin masabi talaga kasi wala pong nakakita sa aktwal na pangyayari at wala rin pong makapagsabi kung namatay ba siya sa rape or merong bang pinainom sa kanya,” says Danao.
Meanwhile, Danao also advised the nine out of eleven suspects to resurface and clear their name. According to Danao, they need all of the help that they can get in order to shed light on what truly happened the night Dacera died. They also ordered a toxicology and drug test on the victim.
“If you have nothing to hide, then siguro I would advise you to voluntarily surrender yourselves sa police station. Kung takot po kayong sumurrender, puwede po kayong magpasama sa mga abogado ninyo, puwede rin po kayong pumunta sa simbahan, samahan ng pari. Kasi kung wala naman kayong kasalanan, e bakit kayo magtatago?”
