Nothing is ever more painful than losing a beloved friend. It’s even more heartbreaking when you didn’t get a chance to say goodbye. This is also what happened to Kyla, the best friend of the slained flight attendant Christine Angelica Dacera. The 23-year-old victim passed away on New Year’s day and her lifeless body was found in a bath tub in a hotel room in Makati City.
According to reports, Dacera was celebrating New Year’s eve with her friends prior to the incident. However, when her body was discovered in the hotel room at noon, Dacera’s friends were nowhere to be found. The victim was rushed to Makati Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead on arrival due to aneurysm.

Dacera’s passing was unexpected and tragic, and it truly left a gaping hole in the hearts of her loved ones. Among them is her best friend, Kyla, who took to social media to share her grief on losing her best friend.
According to Kyla, they first thought that the tragic news was just a prank.
“From the time that barkada first got the information, we were still half-hoping na it was just a terrible prank, until we got confirmed news, everyone started sharing their favorite memories of you. And I feel terrible, cause I forgot how genuinely amazing you are as a person,” wrote Kyla on Instagram.

Moreover, she also looked back on the happy memories that they shared together. She described Dacera as a loving and supportive friend who always brings sunshine anywhere she goes. However, Kyla did not mention anything regarding the investigation surrounding her friend’s death.
“You weren’t someone glorified, you were just my Ica. Supportive, loud, giggly, flawed, ambitious, constant. One thing that I don’t regret at all is how often I showed and told you that I loved you, until the few hours of 2020. You are so loved, ics.”
