Indeed, you will be surprised at the lengths that mothers are willing to go through just to support their children! Among them is this amazing woman, who recently became known on social media for her inspirational life story.
Earlier this month, Joan Diviva’s life story was featured in the GMA 7 program “Wish Ko Lang.” Joan was hailed as a ‘Wonder Mom’ for her resiliency and hard work just to provide for her children.
She’s willing to brace any kind of work just to make sure that her children are well-fed, especially amid the pandemic.

During her interview, the ‘Wonder Mom’ opened up about the struggles they faced amid the coronavirus pandemic.
According to Joan, her husband Sherwin Lacao doesn’t come home too often because he works far away from their home. But when COVID-19 lockdown strike, Sherwin was stranded and was not able to send money back home.
Joan knew that she needed to act fast. Since her husband has no work, he was not able to send money for their daily needs. So Joan decided to find a work as a construction worker.
Working in a construction site is tough, especially if you’re a woman. But since there are shortage of employment amid the pandemic, Joan has no choice but to accept it.
Every day, she endures the backbreaking work in the construction site just to earn a living. Aside from working, she also takes care of the chores and her children. Joan goes to work in the morning, then goes home during noon to look after her kids.
According to Joan, she’s proud of her job because it gives her the opportunity to provide for her family in a decent way. To ease Joan’s situation, the program has given her financial assistance.
“Wish Ko Lang” program also gave Joan and her kids groceries to sustain their daily needs.
