It’s official! Alex Gonzaga and Mikee Morada have tied the knot. After four years of relationship and one year of engagement, the celebrity couple was finally wed in a simple ceremony last November 2020. Alex shared this big revelation in her latest vlog, where she revealed that she is already a housewife. According to Alex, they waited until her 33rd birthday to announce this to her fans on social media.
“Kinasal na po kami. Isa na po akong maybahay, isa na po akong wife. Simple lang, kasama lang ang family at parents namin. We want to celebrate together as a family muna. ‘Yung timing din, at saka alam din namin na may pandemic, so we just wanted to keep it to ourselves for a little while to celebrate,” says Alex in their vlog.

The ceremony was attended by the couple’s family and some of their close friends. Moreover, the 33-year-old actress shared that they are still looking forward to a grander wedding this year.
According to Alex, they are looking forward to a ‘big wedding where we can celebrate with friends and the whole family this year.’
The wedding was held at the Gonzaga family’s residence in Taytay, Rizal. The small yet classy venue was adorned with white flowers, for a more Victorian-era look.
Alex also hired celebrated designer Rajo Laurel to design her wedding dress. According to Laurel, they wanted something ‘simple yet memorable’ for this event.
“I was inspired by two periods of fashion the Victorian era as exemplified by the dramatic sleeves and the 1950s with the fitted bodice and the full skirt. We used a silk faille for the dress and a silk organdie for the overblouse which she removed for the dinner. I wanted something simple but memorable.”
As you may well remember, the couple was set to marry in October 2020. However, they had to postpone it after contracting COVID-19.
