Ogie Diaz is a well-known manager of famous and successful celebrities, but he’s also known as a trusted showbiz insider! Indeed, with his tenure throughout his years in the showbiz industry, Ogie Diaz knows a lot of juicy secrets. And sometimes, he lets spill some of these secrets!
Back in the days, he was popular for his spot-on blind items about the juicy and shocking revelations in the lives of celebrities. But Ogie is no longer sharing blind items these days. And recently on his vlog, he shared the reason why he stopped.
According to the comedian, recently, he received a tempting offer from a show. He will be given 10 minutes of airtime to talk about juicy blind items.
And while the offer is generous, Ogie had to turn it down because of an unpleasant experience in the past.
“Bibigyan nila ako ng mga 10 minutes na segment kung saan magba-blind item daw ako with banter with the main hosts. Ayoko na ng ganong feeling, lalo na at matanda na ko,” says Ogie, claiming that some celebs ignored him in the past due to his offensive blind items.
Apparently, back in the days when he was still hosting, Ogie made a blind item about a young and handsome actor who allegedly received a car from a congressman. After the blind item aired, an actor called him and cursed at him over the phone.
“Yung isang aktor, kausap ko. ‘Put-ng ina mo, ako ba yung tinutukoy mo na binigyan ng congressman ng kotse? Tang -na mo, ako lahat yung tinutukoy ng mga clue mo, gago ka! Andaming nagtatawagan sa akin, ako daw yung binlaynd item mo.'”
Ogie repeatedly denied the allegations, but the damage has already been done. Since then, he made the decision to stay away from blind items to avoid offending other celebrities. This is also the reason why he rejected the tempting offer to him just recently.
