Love is in the air! It seems like the year 2021 will be full of romance and hope for Kapamilya actress Barbie Imperial. Earlier this week, the 22-year-old star revealed that she is currently in love with a very special man. This man was none other than Diego Loyzaga, a fellow star who is the reason for Barbie’s happiness these past few weeks. Barbie made this announcement on social media.
Prior to her announcement, rumor spread on social media after Barbie was spotted in public places with Diego Loyzaga. Back then, the celebrity couple preferred to keep their relationship low-key.
Just recently, Barbie confirmed the speculations by sharing a sweet message for Diego on Instagram.

“Still my favorite photos of us. Totally unexpected to fall for someone I thought I’d be just friends with forever, but I’m really happy to have found both love and friendship with this one. Thank you for making me happy and feel loved. Thank you for everything that you do to make me feel the love I deserve. So thankful for you, thank God for you,” wrote Barbie on Instagram.
The celebrity couple started their new year together. Barbie and Diego were spotted spending some private time in an undisclosed beach resort during New Year’s eve.
Diego also shared a photo of them hugging, with the sweet caption: “Happy new year to us! Thanks for making the end of my 2020 memorable.”
As you may well remember, Barbie has been linked to Diego for the past few months now. However, at first, Barbie and Diego chose to stay as friends. In a previous interview, the actress denied the allegations that she was dating Diego, claiming that they were only friends.
That being said, many fans were indeed thrilled for the couple. Some even commented that Barbie and Diego truly has a chemistry between them!
