Sharon Cuneta is one of the most well-respected actresses in the Philippine showbiz industry. Throughout the years, the seasoned actress has starred in countless films and soap operas. She earned the title ‘Megastar’ for her prowess and professionalism in acting. That being said, Sharon’s legacy in showbiz is truly undeniable.
Throughout her career, Sharon has starred in at least 50 blockbuster films. But aside from being a bankable actress, Sharon is also a successful singer!
As a matter of fact, starting from the 70s, Sharon had numerous concerts and songs and an estimated of 40 hit albums.
However, maintaining a showbiz career is truly exhausting and stressful. So at only 54 years old, it’s no wonder why the Kapamilya Megastar is already looking forward to her retirement. But with her successful career, we’re sure that Sharon will live out a luxurious retirement.
On Instagram, Sharon revealed to her fans that she’s thinking about retiring amid the coronavirus pandemic. She still has to finish her existing projects and contracts, and after that, Sharon will be deciding if she wants to break away from showbiz for good.
“Kids, please don’t be sad! I still have a few promises and contracts to fulfill. Just seeing as we don’t know yet when this pandemic is leaving or when a vaccine is gonna be discovered, I am preparing for my retirement. I am semi-retired as it is! I planned to retire after I got married to Kiko at 30, but I’ve always taken my cues from God.”
In her previous interviews, Sharon has stated that she has already been a millionaire even when she was young. And while she encountered some financial problems in the past, the Megastar bounced back from her downfalls and managed to rise back up. These days, rumors have it that Sharon has already reached a billionaire status.
“I wed in the middle of the shooting “Madrasta” then so many other things followed, so I knew it wasn’t time yet. Don’t worry about me, my parents always prepared me for this! And I’ve been getting ready to retire for another two decades. I’m not just gonna instantly disappear! I owe you that much,” wrote Sharon on Instagram.
