Amid the pandemic, many celebrities lost their livelihood. Among them is Loisa Andalio, who was also affected due to the ABS-CBN shutdown. All of Loisa’s projects and upcoming shows were stalled while her home network’s franchise renewal is still pending. In an interview, the 21-year-old actress opened up about her struggles.
During her interview on “Magandang Buhay,” Loisa revealed that losing her job is tough especially because her family relies on her. She has the highest-paying job among them, which also makes her the breadwinner of their family.

“Pinaka-challenge talaga yung walang work. Bilang breadwinner, di ba, mahirap. Ikaw yung inaasahan ng family mo. Kais kumbaga, ikaw yung may pinaka-okay na trabaho noon e. Tapos biglang wala.
Tapos sila din naman, hindi naman ganoon talaga. Yung sinusuweldo ng mga kuya ko, tama lang naman sa mga anak nila din. Sobrang mahirap,” shares Loisa.
According to Loisa, she tries hard not to let her family know about her struggles. She also puts up a brave face in front of her loved ones, but eventually, the mounting pressure to provide for her family is taking its toll on her.
In spite of her struggles, the former “Pinoy Big Brother” housemate never forgets to count her blessings. According to Loisa, their biggest blessing is staying healthy and safe amid the pandemic. She also acknowledged that the tough situation has tested her strength.
“Kaya hindi ko na din iniisip yung sarili namin. Kumbaga, mas thank you na lang talaga kasi healthy yung family, walang may sakit. Kumbaga, laging dumadaan yung ganitong nangyayari sa mundo.
Kailangan din mo lang talagang magtiwala. At saka itong quarantine din, nagpapalapit sa atin sa Diyos. Kumbaga yun na din lang talaga yung pinanghahawakan ko, yung mga pangako Niya.”
