Is Ivana Alawi’s upcoming series suspended? Way back in 2019, many fans were excited when Ivana signed a contract with ABS-CBN Network. Back then, the 23-year-old actress was one of the fastest-rising stars in showbiz. That being said, many fans were excited to see her career growth after being absorbed into the Kapamilya network.
A few weeks later, Ivana announced that she will be the lead star in an upcoming series “Ang Lihim ni Ligaya.” In this steamy romance, Ivana’s love interest will be portrayed by Kit Thompson. Because of its promising story and popular casts, many people were already looking forward to this soap opera.

The star-studded cast is also to die for. Among the cast line-up for this upcoming series are Raven Molina, Michelle Vito, Ryle Santiago, Mica Javier, Janice de Belen, Agot Isidro, Pen Medina, Daisy Cariño, Michael de Mesa, Christian Vazquez, Emjay Savilla, Wealand Ferrer, and Argel Saycon.
However, in a recent report by Philippine Entertainment Portal, it seems like “Ang Lihim ni Ligaya” will forever remain a secret.
Ivana Alawi allegedly stepped down from her role due to personal reasons amid the pandemic. According to Ivana, she doesn’t want to risk her health and that of her family due to coronavirus.
Because of this, her upcoming series was suspended and replaced with another show. According to PEP, Erich Gonzales will take over the slot and the show’s title was changed to “La Vida Lena.”
In this new series, Erich will be working together with actors JC de Vera, Kit Thompson, and Carlo Aquino.
The new cast include Agot Isidro, Janice de Belen, Raymond Bagatsing, Sofia Andres, Christian Vazquez, Ruby Ruiz, Malou Crisologo, Pen Medina, and Soliman Cruz. In spite of these changes, Ivana Alawi will still be a talent of ABS-CBN.
