Working as a taxi driver is difficult. For starters, they roam around all day to pick up passengers. At the end of the day, they still need to reach their boundary. Despite this, it’s hard to believe that there are some crooked people who are taking advantage of taxi drivers. Among them is this woman, who went viral on social media.
A disappointed taxi driver shared his unpleasant and frustrating experience with a female passenger. According to the driver, the passenger ordered him to drive her to a certain location.
Based on his post, the meter was already running high because the woman’s destination was quite far.

However, when time came for her to pay, the woman insisted on paying only P5! This is even lower than the flagdown rate, which is P40. You can only imagine the frustration of the taxi driver when the woman insisted of paying only P5 for the whole ride.
But instead of arguing any further, the taxi driver had no other choice but to drop off the woman. He was disappointed, and called out other ‘bogus’ passengers to get their act straight next time.
On the other hand, many netizens observed that the woman in the video doesn’t seem to be poor or struggling. They noted that she was even wearing jewelry and looked poised. With that in mind, it’s hard to fathom that she doesn’t have money to pay for her fare.
As expected, this video earned backlash on social media. Many netizens couldn’t help but feel enraged towards the woman, who was accused of taking advantage of the taxi driver.
They also sympathized with the driver, who was only trying to make a decent living but instead got scammed by this woman.
