Overseas Filipino workers sacrifice a lot while working abroad. While they are away from their family, they also have to deal with homesickness and loneliness. Yet instead of understanding OFWs’ tough situation, there are some people who choose to take advantage of them. Among them is this man, whose distasteful ‘lovelife tips’ earned the wrath of netizens.
A Facebook user named John Paul Jacob recently shared his tips on how to manipulate OFWs on social media.
According to John Paul, OFWs are the best girlfriends in the world. He advised men to particularly choose OFWs who are also single moms, so they can easily manipulate the woman’s feelings.

“Kung ako sayo pre manligaw ka ng single mom na OFW, madali silang utuin at bola-bolahin. Naku sinasabi ko sayo kahit wag ka na magtrabaho pre, may monthly allowance ka na! Sikat ka pa sa barkada kase lagi mo sila napapainom,” Johyn Paul wrote on Facebook.
In addition to that, he also claimed that when his OFW girlfriend finally comes home, he can have as many ‘pasalubong’ as he wants.
“Tapos pag uwi pa ng GF mo OFW marami ka na pasalubong wan to sawa pa. Saan ka pa pre diba,” along with this condescending caption, John Paul even shared his photos with a woman. In the series of photos, he was seen kissing and video calling with his girlfriend.
As expected, John Paul’s post did not sit well with the netizens. On Facebook, his post garnered negative reactions and comments.
Many couldn’t help but express their disappointment over John Paul for taking advantage of women. They also warned Pinay OFW to never fall for these deceitful tricks.
