Buboy Villar was envied in social media for his ‘perfect’ family. The actor is married to American model Angillyn Serrano Gorens. The couple has two children together, Vlanz Karollyn and George Michael. Indeed, it seems like Angillyn and Buboy’s marriage were the epitome of a perfect family. However, a recent revelation shocked their fans on social media.
In a recent statement, Angillyn revealed that they have separated two years ago. In an interview, Angillyn claimed that the split was a ‘mutual decision.’ They tried to make things work, but eventually decided to go their separate ways.
“Naghiwalay na kami ni Buboy two years ago, pero triny pa rin naman namin i-work out pero we both realized na it wasn’t working talaga. Mutual decision naman na maghiwalay kami at maging parents na lang sa mga anak namin. Feeling ko, mas naging okay naman both sides,” says Angillyn.
When it comes to taking care of their children, both Angillyn and Buboy are co-parenting. As of now, the two kids are currently living with Angillyn in her parents’ home. The couple is also thankful for the love and support of Angillyn’s parents.
They first considered taking the children to Buboy’s home. However, he was always busy due to his tapings. As of now, Angillyn is currently working in the US to prepare for their kids’ future. She also revealed that she’s still in good terms with Buboy and they are always calling one another through video call.
“Sobrang thankful kaming dalawa ni Buboy sa parents ko kasi sobrang spoiled at alaga sila. Ako, patuloy lang nagwu-work dito sa US para sa mga kailangan din ng mga anak namin at saka makapag-ipon din dahil mag-aaral na rin si Vlanz.”
On the other hand, some netizens also speculated on what might be the true reason behind their separation. In Buboy’s vlogs on Youtube, viewers can’t help but notice that Angillyn’s family seem to treat Buboy coldly. This led them to suspect that Angillyn’s parents might have played a role in their separation.
