Amid the ABS-CBN shutdown, more and more celebrities are already seeking out other opportunities. Among them is Kapamilya dancer and actor Billy Crawford, who recently confirmed his transfer from ABS-CBN to TV 5. While TV 5 might be a greener pasture for Billy, the decision to bid goodbye to his home network has never been easy.
During his interview in the latest episode of “Gandang Gabi na Vice,” Billy claimed that he and his wife Coleen has cried over this decision. Leaving ABS-CBN, which has been his network for years, is truly a heart wrenching decision to make.
“I just want to say thank you. Thank you sa pagkakaibigan at pagpapatotoo mo sa akin. Trust me, kahit anong mangyari, tatawagan pa rin kita at sasabihin ko, ‘Ikaw pa rin ang pinaka-number one bitch sa buong buhay ko.’ I love you,” says Billy, who can’t help but be emotional while addressing his good friend.
According to Billy, it was Vice Ganda and their other “It’s Showtime” family who persuaded him to take the offer. They encouraged Billy to accept it, especially since he needed to work harder now that he and Coleen have already welcomed their first baby, Amari.
On the other hand, Vice expressed his unwavering support in Billy’s decision. According to the comedian, this does not change a thing in their friendship. They will always remain friends and family at heart, even if Billy is no longer a part of the Kapamilya network.
“Hind porket lumipat na siya ng bahay ay hindi mo na siya kapatid, or hindi mo na siya kapamilya, o hindi mo na siya mahal. Maaaring lumipat siya ng bahay, pero family pa rin tayo. Kaya kahit lumipat ka ng bahay, kahit saang bahay man tayo mapunta, family kita at magkapamilya pa rin tayo, at mahal na mahal kita.”
