In just a span of a year, Kakai Bautista and Maymay Entrata has formed a lasting friendship. According to Kakai, despite their age gap, they relate to one another. In a recent interview in “Magandang Buhay,” Kakai couldn’t help but turn emotional while remembering the things that Maymay have done for her.
The two worked together for the first time in the set of “Hello, Love, Goodbye” in Hong Kong. During this time, Maymay and Kakai got to know each other better. Their stint in the romantic comedy also signaled the start of their friendship.

During her interview, Kakai expressed the one thing she admired most about Maymay: her humility. According to the comedian, their personalities go well together because she sometimes come off as strong and snobbish, while Maymay is down-to-Earth at all times.
“Hindi ko nakitaan si Maymay na lumilipad na siya ng mataas at hindi ka na niya papansinin. Kasi nakita ko siya kung paano siya makipag-usap, makipag-deal sa tao, paano niya i-handle ang basher. … Kasi siya, mabait siya, hindi siya lalaban, hindi siya tatalak. Kaya siguro ibinigay kami ni Lord sa isa’t isa.”
On the other hand, Maymay claimed that she has learned a lot from her friend Kakai. During the interview, the former PBB grand winner said that Kakai and Maja Salvador serve as her inspiration in the industry.
“Yan si Ate Kakai matulungin din ‘yan kasi, napakabait din niyan. Inspirasyon ko sina Ate Maja Salvador, si Ate Kakai kasi talagang marunong silang makisama at pantay-pantay lang ang pakikitungo nila sa kapwa, walang pili. Kaya maganda ang naidudulot nila sa akin lalo na sa industriya ng showbiz.”
