Amid the ABS-CBN shutdown, many Kapamilya talents have transferred to other networks to stay afloat. However, it seems like not all celebs approved of this move. Among them is Vice Ganda, who was accused of making fun of Kapamilya celebrities who transferred to TV 5. This was revealed by showbiz insider and columnist Cristy Fermin, who expressed her frustration.
According to Fermin, she received news that the “It’s Showtime” host allegedly mocked some celebrities who transferred to TV 5. This did not sit well with Fermin, and she made sure to express her disappointment about the comedian on social media.

“Kinausap ako kanina ng isang kaibigan ko. Narinig daw niya si Vice Ganda sa A2Z na parang nagtatawanan sila at nagpaparinig. ‘Sugod mga kapatid!’ Ganon daw ba? O ‘Sugod mga kapamilya!’ Parang ganon. Sa pagkakaintindi ng mga nag-report sa akin, parang inuuyam ni Vice Ganda ang mga Kapamilya na sumugod dito sa Kapatid channel.”
Fermin, who is also a broadcaster in TV 5, asked the comedian to have empathy for his fellow stars and understand their situation.
After all, not all celebrities can afford to lose their projects especially amid the pandemic. She also reminded Vice Ganda to stay grounded.
“Wag mo namang iniinsulto yung mga Kapamilya ninyo na lumundag dito sa Kapatid channel na hindi naman nakaipon at wala namang pera na tulad mo. Kung ikaw ay nasa kanilang kalagayan, siguradong hahanap ka din ng trabaho sa ibang channel.
Baka isang araw, biruin ka ng kapalaran. Baka ikaw naman ang lumundag ng ibang channel. Umiikot ang gulong ng buhay, wag kang mayabang,” Fermin said.
Among those former Kapamilya stars who transferred to TV 5 were Catriona Gray, Piolo Pascual, Alex Gonzaga, Billy Crawford, K Brosas, Korina Sanchez, Sue Ramirez, Ian Veneracion, Dimples Romana, Beauty Gonzales, and Yen Santos.
