Tapat na Security Guard na Nagsauli ng Bag na May P500,000, Nakatanggap ng Pabuya!

If you found a bag with money inside it, would you return it to the owner? Many would probably be tempted to keep the money, but for this honest security guard, he did not think twice. A security personnel from the Ninoy Aquino International Airport named Danny Namion made nationwide headlines after returning a lost backpack that contains more than P500,000!

Danny Namion works as a security guard of the Advance Forces Security in Ninoy Aquino International Airport. According to reports, the hardworking security guard was only making P12,000 per month, barely enough to support his kids. In spite of this, his honesty and dedication in his work never wavered.

Namion was on routine patrol at the arrival extension area of the Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 1. While roaming, he found an unattended backpack on a baggage cart. As part of standard procedures, he immediately alerted the Philippine National Police Aviation Security Bomb Detection Group.

Upon opening the bag, he found that it contained wads of dollars! Overall, the bag contained around $10,700, which was equivalent to more than P500,000. Sensing that the owner must have been looking for this bag, Namion helped find the rightful owner.

“I got nervous because I know that the person who sent the money has important reasons in sending that large amount. I was really broke that day and I thank the Lord that I was rewarded $100, which I will use for the expenses of my children,” says the honest security guard during his interview.

As a way of saying thank you, the owner of the bag gave Namion $100, or P5000. According to the honest security guard, he will be using this money to buy needs for his two children. We salute you, Danny Namion!
