There’s a reason why OFWs are recognized as modern-day heroes. They work tirelessly abroad to provide a good life to their families back in the Philippines. Unfortunately, not all OFWs are blessed with a kind and generous employers. In most cases, especially in the Middle East, many overseas Filipino workers have experienced maltreatment and abuse at the hands of their employers.
Among them is this Pinay who works as a domestic helper in Kuwait. Instead of enduring the abusive conditions in her employer’s home, she decided to leave her job. She went straight to the Philippine Embassy in Kuwait, but her female employer managed to catch up to her!

A scandalous scene ensued right outside the embassy. The female employer is reluctant to let the Pinay domestic helper go. We can also see that the OFW was in a hurry to get out, since she has no other luggage aside from the clothes she was wearing.
Even though they are in public, the employer stopped at nothing just to get her housemaid back. In the video, she was spotted making a scene outside the Philippine Embassy. There even came a point when the unidentified employer had to drag the Pinay by clinging onto her clothes.
On the other hand, this viral video raised alarm on social media. Many people can’t help but feel sympathy for the Pinay, who is clearly desperate to leave her employer behind. According to some netizens, if the OFW still came back to her employer, there’s a big chance that her life might be in danger.
As of writing, the video shared by the “OFW Join Force” Facebook page has already reached more than 11,000 reactions and 10,000 shares. Check out some of the netizens’ insights below:
