Many fans are still devastated with the fate of former child actor Jiro Manio. He used to be one of the most well-known child stars in the Kapamilya network. Throughout the year, Jiro has worked with the biggest names in showbiz, including Ai Ai delas Alas. Most of his movies were also blockbuster.
Sadly, Jiro’s future was not as bright as his career. When he reached adolescent, the actor was plagued with problems and controversies. The most prevalent was when Jiro was incarcerated after assaulting another man.

On top of that, the actor is also struggling with his drug addiction. In 2016, a distraught Jiro was discovered roaming in Ninoy Aquino International Airport. Ai Ai delas Alas, who stood as Jiro’s mother in many films, helped the actor get back on his feet.
Earlier this week, Jiro’s relatives took to social media to ask help from the netizens. According to them, until now, Jiro is still coping up with his mental illnesses. Aside from being distraught, Jiro is also allegedly talking to himself.
“Need pa rin ni Jiro ng medication dahil may mga ginagawa at sinasabi pa rin siya na unusual, tulad po ng pagsasalita at tumatawang mag-isa. Paiba-iba ang mga sinasabi niya na mahirap maintindihan, pero madalas, tahimik siya. Ang problema po, gipit din kami kaya hindi namin siya maipagamot.”
To help Jiro get better, his relatives are planning to take him to a rehabilitation center. In the past, he already went in a rehabilitation center, but after a few months, his drug addiction kicked back in again. According to his relatives, they plan on taking Jiro to Bataan.
“Gusto sana namin siyang ibalik sa rehabilitation center sa Bataan. Ang kaso, nagkaroon ng pandemic kaya hindi kami makabyahe,” says Jiro’s relatives on Facebook.
