Jiro Manio is one of the most talented child stars in the showbiz industry. During his prime, he worked along the biggest names in showbiz and starred in iconic films. However, many fans lament the current situation of the former actor. The once-popular child actor has a criminal record now and has been homeless in the past. Because of this, many people are asking: where did he go wrong?
Unlike most child stars his age, Jiro did not went on to have a bright career in showbiz. He eventually dropped out of the limelight. Jiro also had two kids with his long-time live-in partner. The last time he made headlines, Jiro was allegedly involved in illegal substance.

According to Jiro’s live-in partner, before being addicted to drugs, he was a responsible father and husband. However, his friends pressured him into trying illegal substance with them. She pleaded with her boyfriend to turn his back on drugs, but he became temperamental and physically abusive towards her.
His uncontrolled drug addiction prompted the girl to finally leave Jiro. According to her, she was not the reason behind Jiro’s mental breakdown. She did everything to keep their relationship together, especially for the sake of their two daughters. However, in the end, she had to prioritize the safety and welfare of her child that’s why she separated with him.
In January 18 2020, the former child actor was arrested on relation to a homicide case. Manio was accused of allegedly stabbing a man in Marikina City. According to police records, the 25-year-old former actor stabbed Zeus Doctolero three times using a kitchen knife. Doctolero survived the grisly attack and reported the incident to the law enforcement authorities, which resulted in Manio’s arrest.
Four years prior to this incident, Jiro Manio also made headlines when his photos went viral on social media. The former child star looked scraggly and frail while he was roaming in the Ninoy Aquino International Airport. Ai-Ai delos Alas, who has been close with Manio, helped to get him back on his feet and sent him to a drug rehabilitation center.
