Mark Anthony Fernandez used to have a thriving career in GMA 7. As a sought-after leading man back in the days, this actor played iconic roles in many soap operas. The name Mark Anthony Fernandez is associated with a family of prestige and talent in the showbiz industry. He’s the son of the late Rudy Fernandez, who is one of the greatest action stars in the Philippines.
He started his acting career as early as 1998. And for almost two decades, Mark Anthony starred in countless of soap operas and movies. However, in 2016, fans were shocked when the actor was arrested due to possession of marijuana. The former matinee idol spent several months in jail, before being bailed out on December 2017.

It has been a long time since the actor had a regular project on television. Earlier this week, rumors about the actor’s current living situation spread on social media. Apparently, Mark Anthony is currently living with his friend. This rumor was confirmed by columnist Lolit Solis, who lamented the actor’s current life.
“Iyon balita na nakikitira si Mark Anthony Fernandez sa bahay ng isang kaibigan Salve ay matagal ng balita. Nuon pa man, talagang parang walang direksiyon ang takbo ng buhay ni Mark Anthony, mabuti kung buhay pa si Rudy Fernandez at nababantayan siya, pero ngayon na wala na ang ama,” wrote Lolit Solis on Instagram.
Furthermore, the showbiz insider also praised Mark Anthony’s prowess as an actor, which he inherited from his father. According to Lolit, if he doesn’t get his act straight, his future ahead of him will be bleak.
“Sayang si Mark dahil isa siyang mahusay na artista, sayang dahil isang sumisikat na young star ang anak niyang si Grae Fernandez. Si Mark Anthony lang ang puwedeng umayos ng buhay niya, at kundi niya aayusin siguradong wala siyang pupuntahan. Magiging madilim ang bukas niya.”
