In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, more and more people needs positive news and inspirational stories. The love story of these two overseas Filipino workers named Naxa and Paul became viral on social media. If you’re a hopeless romantic, this news will surely brighten up your day! Their love story was even featured in the docu show “Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho” on the Kapuso network.
Their love story is unlike many others. While some couple actively search for a love interest, Naxa and Paul started off with a Facebook comment. Paul was so enthralled with Naxa’s beauty that he commented on her photo. From then on, a budding friendship developed between the two. Coincidentally, both of them worked in the same field.

Paul and Naxa are both seafarers working abroad. As the months passed by, their friendship slowly developed into romance. However, due to the nature of their work, Paul and Naxa are forced to be far away from one another in prolonged period of time. In spite of their long-distance relationship, their love and affection for one another are thriving.
Earlier on August, Paul finally decided to take their relationship to the next level. With the help of other seamen, Paul was determined to finally ask Naxa of her hand! But one problem stood in the way” how will he propose when Naxa is on another ship?
Fortunately, both ships that are carrying Naxa and Paul are sailing in the Mississippi river in the United States. All Paul needed was a large banner, a radio, and of course, the right timing. On the other hand, Naxa’s fellow seafarers are also in on the surprise. You can just imagine Naxa’s surprise when she saw the large banner.
Much to Paul’s delight, her loving girlfriend said “yes” to the proposal. According to the couple, they can’t wait to see one another and talk about their wedding. Due to their duties, the couple haven’t seen one another for eight long months.
On the other hand, their love story garnered positive reactions from the netizens. Many people couldn’t help but feel ‘kilig’ vibes after seeing Paul’s one-of-a-kind proposal.
