On August 16, fans mourned the loss of talented Pinoy vlogger Emman Nimedez. After a few months of battling against acute myeloid leukemia, the 27-year-old vlogger passed away at 1:00 a.m. in St. Luke’s Medical Center. As expected, thousands of people online were saddened by this news. Emman was one of the most well-loved vloggers in the Philippines, and he’s known for his kindness and positive outlook in life.
But although his battle against his terminal illness is also over, his loved ones are still fighting another battle. A few weeks prior to his passing, Emman was confined at St. Luke’s for his chemotherapy. According to his girlfriend, Peachy Santos, after Emman passed away, his hospital bill amounted to a staggering P2 million.

In order to help the bereaved family, Emman’s vlogger friends and fans pitched in to help raise funds for the hospital bill. Among those who helped is popular gaming streamer Choox, who is also one of the close friends of Emman Nimedez. On Facebook, Choox shared that he donated P400k for his late friend.
“Kasi naisip ko po, hindi ko po deserve na mabigyan ng ganung kalaki na star sa mga araw na yon kaya mas napili kong ibigay nalang po ito lahat kay Emman dahil mas kailangan niya po ito ngayon,” says the gamer on his Facebook post.
According to Choox, many of his fans also helped in raising this money. Even before Emman passed away, Choox started the fundraising event “Star for a Cause.” He decided to donate all of the proceeds to Emman to help for his medication. But now that he’s already gone, Choox is hoping to make a dent on his hospital bills.
On the other hand, aside from Choox, many other vloggers and fellow online influencers helped Emman. Among them is his group of friends “Team Payaman” including Cong TV, Junnie Boy, and Viy Cortez.
