Admit it or not, due to the worsening situation of our world today because of the global pandemic caused by COVID-19 virus, it is hard to stay generous and helpful especially if you are one of those people who are barely surviving, or just one delayed cut off away from having nothing at all.
And that, my friend, urges people to be desperate and do something, even against their will, just to secure food for them and their family’s empty stomachs.
And who would have ever thought that despite of this trying times, some people are just naturally kind?
It was justified by a man who decided to turn over a missing wallet he had found that not only contains mere coins, but 10 thousand pesos cash and some important identification card, giving him the whole information of the owner’s contact details.
Jojo Tiamzon, a vendor that daily ignores the high risk of contracting a virus just to make some money for his family wowed the officials of Brgy. Longos, Malabon City when he came to their office and return the missing wallet.
It was then discovered that Jose Racho, the owner of the wallet was frantically looking for it as well as was scared that he might not find his belonging anymore, or if ever he does, the money would be gone for sure.
Out of amazement and full respect, the Malabon officials and even the actress Angelica dela Cruz posted about his story and thanked him for his honesty and dignity.
“Sa panahon na naghihirap ang mga tao at naghahanap ng pagkakakitaan, flex ko lang po ang napaka honest na si sir Jojo Tiamzon.
“Sir saludo po ako sa inyo sana po marami pang tao ang maging katulad ninyo. Salamat din sa aming volunteer na si Joseph Abiado na tumulong sa kanila,” dela Cruz wrote.
