Amid these trying times, aside from competence and full support from the government, compassion and genuine kindness is what we need the most. Knowing that there are people out there crying out for food and shelter everyday, they need our consideration and extra effort to make sure all of us will make it until the end.
And that is what the Filipinos are famous for, the Bayanihan spirit that always comes out whenever the situation calls for it. Given the fact that Philippines is usually targeted by natural calamities such as typhoons and earthquakes, every citizen have grown to adapt and take care of each other always.
And although these kinds of gestures are not new to us, it still gets us everytime we see another Filipino caring for fellow ones, especially those who do not even have enough but still chooses to share.
Just exactly this Pizza delivery guy who caught a bakery owner, Raina Omega’s attention just by buying bulks of bread on her bakery every day.
Curiosity eating her up and her staffs, they decided to ask the delivery man what he does on such plenty amount of pastries.
At first they thought it was an order from his employer, but what the delivery guy replied warmed their hearts to the fullest.
He said that he buys the money from his own money, saving the tips he got from his customers. He then gives the bread to the homeless people he sees on the road to make sure they are not going to starve amid the crisis.
What is the name of this good samaritan? Unfortunately, Raina was not able to get his name and the netizens are still looking for him, but they guess the delivery guy js not after any recognition anyways. Nevertheless, we salute! What can you say about this story?
