The all time favorite kontrabida of the 90s, Bernadette Punzalan, or mostly known as Princess Punzalan who was dubbed as the “Kontrabida of All Time” suddenly faded away from the show business industry years after her successful career as an actress. Despite of the peak of her job, what made Punzalan leave showbiz completely?
Who would not remember the ever annoying character of Selena from Mula sa Puso? By Punzalan’s great portraying skills, she really managed to piss all her viewers off because of her role, who is the mostly hated cast among the series.
She was also the antagonist on the hit series, “Kung Mawawala Ka” playing the character of Ernestina Villamayor. After the amazingly high ratings of the show, another antagonistic roles were given to Punzalan, and it was not too long until she was named as one of the “Primera Contravidas”, along with Cherry Gil and other notable actresses.
But what happened exactly to Punzalan after this?
Apparently, she decided to chase of her dream of becoming a nurse and started a new life in United States, together with hiz american husband.
Punzalan still kept her fans updated via some interviews and now, though social media using her Instagram account.
Punzalan said that her life in the US was hard. She even worked as a waitress so she can support herself while studying.
On her interview with her good friend, Pops Fernandez, Punzalan shared that aside fro being a nurse, she is also now a mommy and said that her life had never become harder but it was happier than ever.
When asked if she misses her life in the PH, Punzalan said she does not misses acting in front of the camera but does not long for the fame anymore.
