Unexpected turn of events usually happen when hasty generalizations occur, such as judging someone by their clothing, skin color or about something we think is “not normal” about them. And then it just so happens that they turn out to be someone much greater than what you expected, leaving you a lesson not to be judgmental again.
Exactly what happened on a story of a netizen who shared what he captured one day while he was running some errands and drop by a money sending establishment.
He posted a photo of an old man who have tattered clothes and does not basically look “decent” enough to be considered as a customer and so he and the others concluded that he was a beggar, asking for some money.
What he realized was the old man who was standing in the corner of the shop was a not a beggar but a customer, when the teller called him out and assisted him politely.
In fact, he was about to send some money for his children.
“I thought he was a beggar but I was wrong.”
This man is standing in a certain money sending establishment in the Philippines and was initially thought a beggar by others because of his appearance.” Del Heartman wrote on his facebook post.
“To their surprise, the old guy with appaling clothes was waiting for his turn to get his receipt from the counter.
Apparently, he just sent money to his children. This is what we call a “father’s love”. “ Del added.
What can you say about this Del’s shared story? Although the old man’s indentity was not shared despite of the people constantly asking for it, we all wish that he continue working hard for his children and be a forever reminder for everyone that we should not judge regardless of someone’s appearance.
