2020 was indeed a rough year for everyone of us. May it be the entrepreneurs or the poorest if the poor sector, we all have been gone though a very harsh moment and it is uncertain on how we can regain ourselves to get back on our feet.
Especially the less fortunate fellows who does not only worry for their source or living but also for their empty stomachs.
As for actress Judy Anne Santos, there is no one dealing harder with the pandemic right now other than the regular employees and residents that falls on the bracket C and D.
That is why despite of the dilemma she is facing about her business, Angrydobo and its newly opened branch, she decided to be more compassionate and made sure her people is all doing okay.
“With the lockdown, ang first thing in mind talaga namin, ano ang mangyayari sa mga staff?” Juday said on her interview with Tim Yap last May 28.
“Paano na sila?
“Lalo na iyong mga staff namin sa Westgate, kasi kakabukas pa lang ng second branch, e.
“We were just starting to get the hang of it, and then the lockdown happened.” she added.
She also explained why she decided to close down all of her restaurants for the sake of her employees and their health.
“What we did… some of our supplies, pinauwi na namin sa staff namin, kasi para ma-prepare din sila sa lockdown.
“Because it was a sudden lockdown, not everyone has prepared.
“Imbes na masayang iyong pagkain, mabuti itulong na lang namin.
“Para lessen na iyong worries nila, at least for a week, or at least tatlong araw man lang, medyo kampante kami na okay iyong mga cast members namin.”
And now that many businesses are not being able to operate and make money, the actress wishes not to get to the point where she needs to fire some people to sustain her resto’s stability.
“Eventually, habang naka-quarantine, we are thinking of ways on how are we gonna keep our staff.
“As much as possible, we don’t want naman talaga, hanggang maaari, na magtanggal ng tao.
“Kasi as it is, ang hirap na ng buhay, naka-quarantine lahat.” She continued.
