But this vegetable vendor from Ilocos Norte is the living proof that there are still many honest persons around!
For Alice Baguitan, it’s just another day at work. She makes a living as a vegetable vendor in Laoag, Ilocos Norte. As a vendor, Alice only earns a meager profit.
So when she found a bag filled with money on a fast food chain, Alice was shocked! The bag’s owner was nowhere to be the found.
According to reports, the bag contained a total of P2.7 million in cash. Alice was eating in a fastfood restaurant when an unknown woman sat beside her.
The woman was carrying a large duffel bag, which she placed near Alice’s feet. A few moments later, the woman received a call and urgently left the place as she forgets to retrieve the bag.
After noticing the bag at her feet, Alice tried to look for the woman, but she was already gone from the fast food restaurant. Fortunately, Alice was attentive and was able to hear where the woman was going. She immediately carried the bag and went to the place in search of its rightful owner.
You can just imagine the woman’s happiness after seeing Alice and her bag! According to reports, the owner tried to hug Alice.
She was grateful that her bag has been returned to her. As a reward, she tried to give Alice money, but the vegetable vendor kindly refused and told her that she only wants to help others without any payback.
On the other hand, Alice’s inspirational story became trending on social media. Many netizens commented on Alice’s honesty. Indeed, she deserves all of the recognition and praises for her honesty and kindness.
