Dating Flight Attendant, Hindi Ikinahiya ang Bagong Pinagkakakitaan Niya Matapos Mawalan ng Trabaho Ngayong Pandemic

The nationwide community quarantine has paralyzed the economy, and thousands of people lost their jobs just when they needed it the most. This crisis also tested people’s patience and commitment amid the pandemic. Perhaps one of the most affected industries globally is the airline industry, because traveling was strictly prohibited due to the COVID-19 crisis.

That being said, many flight attendants and pilot were also furloughed. Most of them have no other choice but to find other means of livelihood amid the pandemic.

One of them is Lorrie May Parungao, a flight attendant who was laid off from the Pan Pacific Airlines. But instead of feeling sorry for herself, the resourceful flight attendant decided to take this as a challenge!

For Lorrie May, her career is far from over. Even though she is no longer taking care of passengers, Lorrie decided to venture into her other calling: business! Yes, you read that right. The former flight attendant turned her attention to setting up her own business.

On Facebook, Lorrie May proudly shared that she is now selling fishball and other streetfoods to stay afloat amid the pandemic. To save money on renting a space, Lorrie May decided to just sell fishball right ouside of her home.

According to the former flight attendant, her newfound business is exhausting, but she’s still grateful because it provides her a steady income.

While Lorrie May’s income is far from what she makes back when she was still a flight attendant, she’s still grateful for the opportunity.

According to Lorrie May, she makes enough from selling streetfood to put food in the table for the sake of her family. She also left a positive message for everyone who is also going through the same situation.

“Always be grateful for all that has happened in our lives. It will be our fuel for our dreams. Never forget where we came from, it will always lead and teach us to aim and soar high,” wrote Lorrie May on Facebook.
