According to the doctrine, we must choose god-fearing, loving, and supportive godparents for our kids. However, some parents are using financial capability as an important factor in choosing the godparents on their children. These days, some parents pressure their ‘kumare’ and ‘kumpare’ into giving a grand aguinaldo or Christmas gifts to their godkids. Among them is this arrogant mother, who became viral on Facebook earlier this week.
An overseas Filipino worker named Kath shared her infuriating experience on social media. Kath was not expecting that she will have a heated exchange with her Facebook friend.
Her long-time friend messaged her on social media after seeing that Kath was working in a fast food crew. The arrogant friend then proceeded on insulting Kath.

“Nahihiya ka? Kasi ang alam nila maganda trabaho mo yon pala crew ka lang sa restaurant. Kasi parang kinakahiya mo na crew ka pinapakita mo sa FB sa office ka nagwowork, pero ang totoo hindi naman,” wrote the arrogant mother. Her identity was intentionally hidden by Kath herself.
The mother also revealed that at first, she wanted to get Kath as a ‘ninang’ for her baby. She initially thought that Kath was working in a high-end office abroad. However, when she found out that she’s working in a fastfood chain, she changed her mind about getting her as a godmother.
She then proceeded to belittle Kath for her work. The mother also bragged that she only wants to get godparents who have the capability to give lavish gifts to their child.

This became the last straw which prompted Kath to post their conversation on social media.
“Pero baka kulang pa sayo sahod mo at hindi ka makapagpakimkim sa anak ko. Di kasi ako kumukuha ng ninang na di maganda ang work para kapag may need anak ko madali lang sila makakapagbigay. Kaya nga di kita kukunin baka wala ka ibigay,” says the arrogant mother.
As expected, many netizens were also enraged with this entitled mother. Now the holidays are finally here, we’re seeing more and more ‘Kumare Serye’ on Facebook, which features demanding parents.
