If Star for All Seasons Vilma Santos has a wish for her upcoming 67th birthday, then she will gladly use it not for herself, but for the betterment of the world’s situation.
“Kung meron man akong hihilingin sa birthday ko o ipagdarasal, ang talagang pinagdarasal ko lang at hihilingin ko sa Panginoong D’yos talaga is, ‘Lord, tama na po. Tama na po itong COVID.” she said during her online Youtube chikahan on Tonight With Allan D (2WAD) with her friend, showbiz writer, Allan Diones.
Added the multi awarded actress, “Sana unti-unti na itong mawala. Sana ma-lessen na yung namamatay. Ma-lessen na yung nagkakasakit, and at the same time, with all the calamities na dumadating ngayon, sana mabasawan na.
“2020 is really not a good year for all of us. And all over the world, hindi talaga maganda ang 2020. So, talagang prayers lang ang makakatulong sa ’tin para mabawasan ng lahat ang pagsubok na ito. Kasi hindi talaga maganda.”
But when asked if there is something that she really yearns for and hopes to have anytime soon, that is having her “apo” or grand kid with her oldest son, actor and TV host Luis Manzano and his long time girlfriend Jesy Mendiola.
“Siguro kung meron man akong hinihiling—apo. Baka very soon. Yihey,” she said.
When asked why she said “very soon”, Vilma only gave limited reply.
“Sandali, ano yung ‘very soon’? Uriratin natin yung ‘very soon.’” Allan butts in.
“Siguro, para sa inyo, karapatan ko lang sabihin sa inyo na very soon. Yon lang yon.”
Then, her friend tries to squeeze some more information, “Very soon ang apo? Very soon ang wedding?”
Vilma only says while laughing, “Basta!”
