Kathryn Bernardo admitted that even though she was putting off a professional stint in front of the whole production, she still can not help but to fan girl over South Korean international star Lee Min Ho after she worked with him for an endorsement deal with Lazada.
According to her, she has been watching the Korean star even since his early years in K-industry, and it still feels like a dream that she was able to talk and meet him virtually.
“Actually, when they told me about it during my first shoot pa lang, sabi nila may surprise na makakasama from Korea.
“Then fast forward to few weeks ago, nasa shoot ako noon and then Tita Lulu [Romero], my handler, sent me the board, and she said na si Lee Min Ho yung makakasama.
“Super nagulat ako! Hindi ko in-expect na siya yung kukunin.
“Sakto, kasi I just started watching yung Legend of the Blue Sea during quarantine and then super fan ako ng Boys Over Flowers.
“I feel very honored to represent the Philippines alongside now with Lee Min Ho.
“I’m just really proud and happy for Lazada na may bago na naman silang addition sa family.” she explained.
During the lockdown, she also said that she binge watched Korean series and believe that their shows are wonderful.
“I started watching K-dramas nung nag-lockdown. Nag-start ako with Crash Landing On You and then super na-hook ako.”So after that, tinanong ko yung friends ko. They suggested na unahin muna yung mga classic, so I watched Descendants of the Sun and then after that Goblin.”
Aside from her niece Lhexine, Kathryn has also influenced her boyfriend Daniel Padilla to watch a K-drama series.
“Kingdom, kasi fan talaga ko pag zombies. Kami ni DJ. In one day, tinapos namin yung Kingdom.”
